Privacy Policy
Here’s the full policy with the Matomo clause folded in. Two real changes: Section 2 can no longer claim “no analytics,” and a new Section 5 (Web Analytics – Matomo) is inserted; everything else renumbers down. I put the opt-out placeholder where your shortcode goes.
Privacy Policy
1. Controller
Timo Wessels, Jochim-Sahling-Weg 92, 22549 Hamburg, Germany. Email: timo@mybeverageguide.com
2. Principle
This website processes personal data to the technically necessary minimum only. It uses no cookies, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. There are no contact forms, no newsletter, no user accounts, and no social media plugins. For usage statistics we operate our own self-hosted, cookieless and IP-anonymized analytics (see Section 5). The site otherwise exists solely for viewing content (recipes).
3. Server log files
When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically collects information that your browser transmits, in so-called server log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page/file requested, the previously visited page (referrer), and your browser type and operating system. This data is technically required to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website). The log files are deleted after a short period.
4. Hosting
This website is hosted by: ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The provider processes the data described in Section 3 on our behalf. A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
5. Web analytics (Matomo, self-hosted)
To understand how this website is used and to improve our content, we use Matomo, an open-source analytics tool that we host on our own server. No data is transmitted to third parties.
Matomo is operated in a privacy-friendly, cookieless configuration: it sets no cookies and does not store any information on your device. Your IP address is anonymized (shortened) before it is stored and is only ever processed in this anonymized form, so it cannot be traced back to you. From this, Matomo records data such as the pages visited, the time and duration of the visit, the approximate region (derived from the anonymized IP), the referring website, and the browser and operating system used — all in aggregated, non-identifying form.
Because no cookies are used and the IP address is anonymized, this processing does not require consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the statistical analysis and improvement of our website. Raw usage logs are automatically deleted after a defined retention period; only aggregated statistics are retained.
Objection (opt-out): You can object to this analysis at any time, with effect for the future, using the following option:
You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
6. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are served locally from our own server (self-hosted). There is no connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts), and no data is transmitted to third parties in this respect.
7. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption (recognizable by “https://” in the address bar).
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and a right to object (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is: The Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.
