About this bottle

The product

The field plum is an ungrafted wild form native to the Kahlgrund around Mömbris, smaller and more aromatic than ordinary plums. The fruit hangs on the tree until overripe, goes into the tub without stems but with stones, and ferments slowly before Dirker distils it in his copper still. The fruit aroma unfolds fully only after ageing in wooden casks that have only ever held plum brandy, which also give it its light amber tint and a balanced, mellow character. One of the distillery’s bestsellers. 40 % vol, 0.5 l.
