About this bottle
The product
The heart of the Sauvignon Blanc I comes from a dense planting in the Deidesheimer Paradiesgarten, where Weingut von Winning picks the best grapes for its top Sauvignon Blancs every year. Raised in tonneaux and matured long on its natural lees, it becomes an elegant, dense white wine.
The nose shows the wood — toasted hazelnut and a fine smokiness — as well as what a Sauvignon Blanc is expected to bring: juicy fruit, rich, ripe and exotic, with yellow apple, quince, honeydew melon and lime zest. Acidity and extract sweetness stand in harmonious balance and carry the wine to great length.
Vintage 2024, VDP.Gutswein, Qualitätswein from the Pfalz, dry: 12 % vol, 0.8 g/l residual sugar and 7.3 g/l acidity. Contains sulphites. Weingut von Winning’s barrels of this wine also gave STORK CLUB the finish of its Wine Barrel Series rye whiskey.
