Freud Whisky Distillers Cut

Freud is Brennerei Ziegler’s homage to Freudenberg, where it has distilled whisky since 2008, the first single malt of the Untermain. The Distillers Cut is distilled in a pot still from spring barley malt of the variety Catamaran, matures five years in chestnut, ex-bourbon and sherry casks and is rounded off in the casks of Ziegler’s Alte Zwetschge plum brandy, which give it its fruity aroma. An accessible single malt with sweet citrus notes, dark fruit, fine malt spice and nutty hints, balanced and layered, neat or mixed. Vegan. 41.5 % vol, 0.7 l.
