The product
Westphalian grain distillers, Sasse recalls, took whisky to America, and Prohibition ended the age of rye. Feinbrennerei Sasse chose a special distillate from its Reifugium, matured five years in selected casks, and bottled it at 48 % in organic quality. Powerful vanilla and dark chocolate, nuts and black pepper mark its range of aromas, and the very long finish is for true connoisseurs; Sasse suggests it in a Manhattan. The 2025 limited edition comes in a one-litre carafe with an exchangeable stopper. 48 % vol, 1 l.
