In this very steep vineyard grows one of the most elegant and finely scented white wines in the world. The stony, shallow blue-slate soil gives the wine a delicate, fresh acidity and a unique elegance. In their youth the wines of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr are the most charming of the estate, beguiling with the scent of white peach and green apple. Like all of Dr. Loosen’s dry wines it is made only from hand-selected, healthy grapes. White peach, green apple, citrus and quince with a salty slate note; a partner for veal, salads with lemon vinaigrette, cheese and Mediterranean pasta, served at 8-10 °C. Vintage 2024, VDP.Grosses Gewächs, dry, 12.5 % vol. Contains sulphites.
